Hybrid and ceramic transitional pads are the bridge step between metal bond grinding and resin polishing. Run after the metal bond sequence has flattened and stripped the slab, they remove the metal scratch pattern faster than resin can, without building heat, so the resin sequence starts on a clean, refined surface. ZION stocks the Turbo Ceramic Transitional pad and the Aggressive Ceramic Metal Hybrid pad — both run wet or dry on standard planetary and edge grinders.
The ceramic bond cuts like a metal bond but leaves a refined scratch pattern, so you spend less time and fewer resin pads stepping out the marks. The Turbo Ceramic Transitional pad covers the 50–200 grit transition; the Aggressive Ceramic Metal Hybrid pad brings a more aggressive cut for harder slabs and heavier scratch removal.
Match the pad to the slab hardness and the scratch you are stepping out, and the resin sequence gets shorter, cooler and more consistent.
